美國頂級公立高中黑人,拉美人和亞裔的人數非常少,白人占到了絕大多數,哈佛大學的歧視性招生政策被披露以后更是引起軒然大波。而且精英學校已經形成一套隱秘而完美的歧視性招生政策。比如,哈佛會優先錄取優秀的棒球或者橄欖球運動員或者校友的孩子。這里貌似沒有對于有色人種和窮人家孩子的歧視,但是哈佛校友大多是白色的富人。即使某些學校在公眾的壓力下增加了一些有色人種的招生數量,但是這種系統性的招生政策歧視才是應該重點關注的。
